Use this pattern on websites that are:
- a core service website (such as our find information for adults, children and families)
- a South Gloucestershire website that is not built on the existing core website
- a method of linking back to our core website so that users feel familiar and comfortable using the site
We use this pattern as a way of allowing users to navigate on the website they are on, but also be able to go back to our core website should they need too.
This is a common approach for websites that have many services or sections within their organisation that need to be seperated. An example can be found on the BBC website, where they have navigation at the very top which links you to various other sites.
