Cyril was laid to rest in the churchyard of St Mary's Church, Yate.
Cyril was born in Frome and was the eldest of two boys. His brother Harold was an aeronautical engineer and it is likely he also worked at Parnall's. The family moved to Kingswood around 1920 as his father commenced working for Douglas Motors Ltd. In 1939, the family were living at 24 Britannia Road.
