Edward Colin Goulding was born in 1896. He enlisted in 1914 and served with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Hampshire Regiment, he later served in the Gallipoli campaign. In December 1916, on the Gallipoli Peninsula, the Turks shelled the battalion in the front line causing three casualties, including Private Edward Colin Goulding, who was killed.

He is recorded on the Hawkesbury War Memorial as ‘C Goulding’.
