Francis Albert Cox (Frank) was born in Hambrook in 1890. Eldest son of parents, Albert and Sarah Cox and brother to Edith, Louisa, Mabel, Alice, Charles and Elsie. Albert was a locomotion engine driver. The family lived at 61 Stoke Lane, Hambrook

Frank enlisted in Bristol and served with the 14th Battalion of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Frank was killed in action on the 8th July 1918
