Harold Bisp was born in 1898 in Frampton Cotterell to parents, James and Ada Bisp. His father worked as a coalminer and was born in Winterbourne and his mother was born in Frampton Cotterell. His siblings were Emma and Lily.

Harold served with the 62nd Battalion Machine Gun Corps as private 161595. He was killed on the 19th October 1918 and is buried in the Romeries Communal Cemetery Extension (Ref: II. A. 4.), France.

Harold Bisp is remembered on the Chipping Sodbury and District Memorial Cottage Hospital board, now at Yate and District Heritage Centre under Coalpit Heath.
