William Edwin Young was born in 1893. He was the brother of Mrs M L Perryman of 11 Bridge Street, Upper Eastville, Bristol

William served as a Corporal with the 4th Battalion of the Worcestershire Regiment. William died on the 2nd October 1918, he was 25 years old. William was awarded the Victory and the British War medals

William Edwin Young is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium (Ref: Panel 75 to 77.). William is also remembered on the Chipping Sodbury and District War Memorial Cottage Hospital board, which is now at Yate and District Heritage Centre, under Westerleigh
