Are you keen to get fit and in the process make new friends? Our sociable and friendly beginners "Couch to 5K" course will take you from 'zero to hero' in just 9 weeks. Along the way you'll discover with consistency and the right programme, guided by our experienced run leaders, you'll achieve things you can only imagine now. You'll start off in week 1 by jogging for 60 seconds and walking for one and half minutes, repeated 8 times. By week 9 we aim that you'll to be able to run continuously for 30 minutes. You will finish your course by completing a free to participate 5k parkrun event. With the mutual support of the friends you've made in the group, your run leader’s guidance and encouragement, membership of a closed Facebook group with over 800 past participants, and having a downloadable app to guide you - you'll be running towards to a new, fitter and healthier you in no time! Our courses are subsidised by Sport England and are FREE for those who do less than 30 minutes of exercise a week and completing the course with us for the first time providing you live or work in South Gloucestershire.
