Albert was born in 1893 (1st Quarter) Hinton Blewett, Somerset.

In 1911, Albert's parents lived in Tewkesbury. His father was a farmer in the 1891 and 1901 census, but was a licenced victualler in 1911. Albert was not recorded with his parents on the 1911 census day and was possibly working away from home. His parents must have moved to Pendennis Farm shortly after 1911.

Albert served with the 7th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment and died on 21/06/1916 (Died in the UK from Wounds received in France).

Albert is commemorated on the Christ Church Downend memorial and the Staple Hill (Page Park) memorial.
