Further information:

Charles was previously buried at Arromanches Les Bains which was the site of an artificial port known as Mulberry B Harbour that was used following D-Day to disembark thousands of troops and tons of equipment every day. Charles' death occurred during a severe storm that began on 19th June and reeked much havoc with men and equipment. Charles was not killed in action, so it is possible that he may have fallen victim to the storm.
