On the 1891 Census, the family lived in Great Ann Street in Bristol (5 children), but in 1896 Charles died age 49 and by the time of the 1901 census, the remaining family had moved to Little Ann Street. In 1911 Edwins younger brother Arthur was a boarder and he was a conductor on the trams. Edwin married Beatrice Edith Hunt in 1908 in Bristol. Edwin and Beatrice had 3 children - Norah Ellen born 1909, John William born 1913 and Leslie Arthur Born 1916.
Edwin served with the 1st/5th Gloucestershire Regiment and died on 25/10/1918 (Died of Wounds received in action).
Edwin is commemorated on the Downend Christ Church Memorial and the Staple Hill Page Park Memorial.
