Edward was born in 1894 (1st Quarter) in Staple Hill, Bristol. In 1911, Edward was living in Hermitage Road with his parents and 6 brothers and sisters. His father John died in 1914.
The address on the 1911 Census and WW1 pension card is stated as Hermitage Road, but the address on the CWGC records for his mother is 7 Hinton Road, Greenbank, Bristol, probably where she moved to after the war. Minnie married a John Hinebaugh in 1920.
Edward served with the 2nd/4th Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment and was died on 14/08/1916 (Killed in Action originally reported missing).
