Ted was the son of a boiler maker and the eldest of 5 boys. Ted’s father died on active service during WW1.
Ted’s army records show that he was accidentally killed and that his death was registered in Thornbury. As Thornbury was the location of the training headquarters for Ted’s regiment, it suggests that Edward died during training.
