Married to Florence Ludlow on 31st October 1914 at St. James Cathedral Church, York, Toronto, Canada.

Following Frederick's death his widow Florence returned to England to live at 26, Burwash Road, Plumstead, Kent.

Frederick died of wounds on 2nd June 1916, Mont Sorrell, Belgium.

Frederick was awarded the following medals: British War and Victory Medals. Wound Stripe.

Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium. Also commemorated on the Christ Church Downend, Staple Hill (Page Park) and the Staple Hill Methodist Church Memorials.
