Frank Strange was the son of Moses and Jane Strange of Bird's Bush, Yate. He was brother to Fred, Bessie and Arthur. Moses Strange was a carter on a farm and had also been born in Yate

Frank enlisted in Birmingham and joined the 2nd Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales’ (Royal Berkshire Regiment.) Frank was formerly Private 42707 of the Hampshire Regiment, he was Killed in Action on the 27th May 1918 and is remembered at the Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France

Frank was just 19 years old when he died
