George was born in 1892 (Baptised Christ Church Downend 7/09/1892). George married Elsie (nee Maggs) in 1913 and they had one son, Leslie George who was born on 16/05/1914.
George served with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment and was Killed in Action on 04/03/1917. George's younger brother John also died in the war.
