Further information:
Graham married Ellen Mary Green in 1930 and they had a son the same year. They also had a daughter in 1933 who died as a baby.
Graham’s regiment (the 137th Field Regiment) arrived in Singapore on 28th November 1941 and served with the 11th Indian division during the Malayan campaign. The regiment was captured at Singapore on 15th February 1942 when it fell to the Japanese, and just 2 months after the defeat Graham died whilst a POW – such were the harsh conditions. The lack of a known burial site indicates that he was probably cremated.
