Henry was born in 1885 (1st Quarter) (Hambrook). Birth registered as Herbert Henry Rawlings, but the records after that record him as Henry Herbert. Henry married Flossie Florence Watts at Downend Christ Church on 27/8/1905. Henry and Flossie did not have any children. Flossie married a Fred Wilcox on 20/11/1917.

Henry served with the 2nd Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment and was Killed in Action on 21/05/1917.

Henry is commemorated on the Christ Church Downend Memorial and the Staple Hill (Page Park) Memorial.
