Harold, generally known as Keith, was born in Bristol, but followed his brother, Cecil to Olveston where he worked as a farmhand and gardener. He married Winifred Annie Smith at Olveston Church on 13th April 1936, and a daughter was born to them two years later
Harold enlisted on the 26th July 1940 and served with the 10th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment and spent the war in India and Burma. He was killed by a Japanese sniper and was buried very near where he fell in battle
