Further information:
Harry Walker was born in 1894 in Old Sodbury to parents, Isaac and Maria Walker of Lyegrove Cottage, near Badminton. He was brother to Amy, Bertha, Albert, Victor, George, Elizabeth and Charles. Isaac Walker was a shepherd and had been born in Old Sodbury.
Harry Walker is mentioned on both the Old Sodbury, St John's Church memorial and the Chipping Sodbury and District Memorial Cottage Hospital board, now at Yate and District Heritage Centre.
No service information could be found for Harry Walker.
I have not found an entry on the Commonwealth War graves list or Soldiers Died during the Great War. I only identified Harry through the pension card which confirm his parents’ names and their home address.
Looking through the records, there was another unconnected Harry Walker (Harry Charles) killed on the same day and in the same location (P/1385 Rifle Brigade). There were 27 other soldiers from the Cameronians killed on the 23rd April 1917, most of which are commemorated on the Arras Memorial. H C Walker is commemorated on the Arras Memorial but not H Walker, and it seems likely an error was made at the time.
