Henry was a 2nd Lieutenant in the British Army, Royal Army Medical Corps attached to the 2nd Royal Irish Regiment.

Henry Wyndham Goodden died in the vicinity of Ypres, Belgium in 1915 and was Killed in Action.

He was killed in the Ypres Salient. His body was never recovered, and he is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium. The CWGC have him named as Henry William.

His sisters were Betty M Goodden, Anne G Goodden and Mary K Goodden.
