Henry was born in 1882 (1st Quarter) and Baptised at St Thomas a Becket Church, Pucklechurch on 5/3/1882.
The 1911 Census shows Henry living with his parents (age 29). He was one of 11 children, but only 6 were still living at home at the time of the Census. Henry married Emma Ruddell on 23/11/1913 (Bristol District). Henry and Emma had one son, Leslie Howard John born 18/10/1914.

Henry served with the 2nd/5th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment and died on 22/05/1917 (Cerebrospinal meningitis commencing whilst on active service).

Henry is commemorated on the Christ Church Downend Memorial and the Staple Hill (Page Park) Memorial.
