Further information:

John was born in 1895 2nd Quarter - Baptised St Bartholomew Church, Wick 6/10/1895.

I have not located John or the family on the 1911 Census, but the pension card records the address of his father William as Kingsheath, Westbury On Trym, Bristol. His mother Alma died in February 1918, and the probate entry also shows Kings Heath as the address.

John served with the 99th Company, Machine Gun Corps Infantry (formerly Gloucestershire Regiment 22825) and was Killed in Action by shell fire on 1 August 1916.

John Mizen is also commemorated on the Westbury On Trym (High Street) Memorial.
