The Brothers Toghill: these three gallant young soldiers, who were well known in the Warmley and Kingswood districts have been highly spoken of by their officers

"News has been received from Salonica of the death in action 12th February of Private Toghill of the Worcesters. He was well known in Warmley and Kingswood, joined up 18 months age and was a very promising young soldier. His Officer in announcing to his parents that he was killed instantly by a shell said" He was quite one of the most popular men in his position and personally I have nothing but good to say of him, as he was a splendid worker and always did his duty most cheerfully" Lately he had been in a machine gun section and his officer reported that he was very smart at his work
