Kenneth served in the 2nd Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.

Kenneth was the only son of a roadstone quarrier and the family previously lived in Bristol. By May of 1944 2,876,00 troops were assembled across the South of England in readiness for the D-Day landings and amongst them were the 2nd Gloucestershires. Kenneth was buried near the New Forest and his war record states that he was accidentally killed. He died during training before he could take his place in the D-Day operation.
