Further information:
Lloyd was the youngest of 4 with 2 older brothers and an older sister.
He served with the Army Dental Corps attached to Royal Army Medical Corps. He was listed as missing presumed killed and probably died in Singapore on the day it fell to the Japanese either from shelling of the hospital buildings or in the Alexandra Hospital massacre when patients and medics were indiscriminately executed by Japanese soldiers. The lack of a known burial site indicates that he was probably cremated.
Commemorated on the Staple Hill (Page Park) Memorial and the Staple Hill Methodist Church Memorial.
