His Majesty’s (Motor Gun Boat) MGB 330 Royal Navy.

On the 16th August the MGB 330 along with 2 other vessels intercepted a German mine laying ship in the English Channel and engaged it in gunfire. The MGB 330 had all of its guns put out of action, so rammed and holed the German vessel. Paul died in HMS Hospital Dover, one week later from wounds received in this surface action.
