Further information:

A direct connection has not been found between Badminton and a Percy Lord. The information provided here probably relates to the Percy Lord recorded on the Badminton memorial.
In 1911, Percy was living with his parents and younger sister and brother. Percy is likely to have moved to Wiltshire some time after 1911, where he met and married Eleanor Mary (nee Maynard) in 1917. She lived in the village of Chittoe (a few miles south of Chippenham). The fact that Percy joined the Hussars suggests a knowledge of horses which may be where the Badminton connection lies (working on the estate possibly).
After the war, Eleanor moved to Plaistow, London (135 Ling Road)
Percy is commemorated in the Badminton Memorial Hall, The Yate Heritage Centre Memorial Board and on the Chittoe War Memorial.
