Sidney Graham Creech served with the 9th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment.
Sidney died in the National Hospital, London, from injuries received in the first big push on the Somme. He was a permanent member of the Hanham Athletic team and also played two seasons for Llanelly AFC. He was borne to the grave on a gun carriage with a military escort and the 'Last Post' was sounded over the grave.
