William Marshall was born in 1895 and Baptised at St James, Mangotsfield on 7 April 1895.

William served with the 2nd/6th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment and died on 19/07/1916 (Missing presumed Killed in Action).

William's younger brother Walter also died during the war.

William Marshall is commemorated on the Downend Christ Church Memorial and the Staple Hill Page Park Memorial.
