William James was born in 1891 ( 4th Quarter) and Baptised in Northampton on 28/10/1891. On the 1911 census, William James is recorded as James and living with his parents and 6 siblings. His younger brother Harold Robert is recorded as Harold and he was also killed in the war (1918). Their father Frederick was a shoe finisher by trade, probably the reason the family moved from Northampton sometime in the 1900's.
William served with the 12th Battalion, Warwickshire Regiment and died on 18/09/1915 (Southmead Hospital from accidental injuries).
