On the 1911 census, William was a boarder in Market Drayton, Staffordshire, and his parents were still at the same address as the 1901 Census (Womberdine Lane, Ashley, Near Market Drayton, Staffordshire). The family moved to Gloucester sometime after 1911.

No records has been found of William living in the Patchway area and assume that he may have either been working or living in the area after 1911. The pension card records his Widows address as Gothic Cottage, Churchdown. William married Alice (nee Partridge) 2nd quarter 1917, in Churchdown, Gloucester. William and Alice did not have any children. Alice married an Albert Veale in 1921.

William died on 23/05/1918 (Died from the effects of Shell Gas).
