Old Sodbury - St John the Baptist Church
The memorial is in the form of a lych gate at the entrance to the churchyard of St John the Baptist’s Church, erected in 1920 to commemorate 16 men who lost their lives in the First World War I, including two peers. The names are inscribed on the roof beams over the gate. After the Second World War it was amended to include the six who were killed during World War Two. More recently another name has been added. There is also a memorial plaque within the church itself.
