Free Christmas holiday activities in South Gloucestershire libraries

Libraries across South Gloucestershire are holding a seasonal programme of activities to help keep children entertained throughout the festive period.

All activities are free drop-ins for 4 to 11-year-olds unless otherwise stated.

Saturday 10 December

Christmas card making
Hanham Library, 10am to 3pm
Kingswood Library, 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm

Let it snow
Downend Library, 10am to 4pm
Snowman themed crafts.

Monday 12 December

Stories around the Christmas tree
Kingswood Library, 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Wear your pyjamas and bring a teddy bear along for festive stories and crafts.

Saturday 17 December

Dazzling decorations
Cadbury Heath Library, 10am to 11am
Festive crafts.

Countdown to Christmas
Downend Library, 10am to 4pm
Santa themed crafts.

Monday 19 December

Festive fun
Thornbury Library, 11am to 12pm
Festive crafts and stories.

Let it snow
Filton Library, 2.30pm to 4pm
Festive crafts and seasonal stories.

Stories around the Christmas tree
Cadbury Heath Library, 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Stories and carols for the whole family.

Tuesday 20 December

Let it snow
Patchway Library, 10am to 11.30am
Festive crafts.

Twas the night before Christmas
Staple Hill Library, 10.30am to 12pm
Festive crafts.

Christmas fun and festivities
Emersons Green Library, 2pm to 4pm
Singing, choir and crafts.

Stories around the tree
Yate Library, 10am to 12pm
Stories and a festive singalong hosted by the Yate Library Teen Focus Group.

Thursday 22 December

Jingle all the way
Bradley Stoke Library, 10.30am to 12pm
Christmas crafts.

Festive fun
Yate Library, 10.30am to 12pm
Christmas crafts.

Winter wonderland
Hanham Library, 2pm to 3pm
Craft activities.

Go Christmas crackers
Downend Library, 10am to 11.30am
Crowns, cards, decorations and festive fun.

Thursday 29 December

New Year fun
Hanham Library, 2pm to 3pm
Craft activities.

Some libraries will also be holding free story times and rhymetime sessions for babies and toddlers and their parents or carers to enjoy stories, action songs and rhymes together.
