We are offering a series of free events this summer to promote active travel as part of the ‘Around Your Way’ project.

Events include free nature walks, ‘Dr Bike’ cycle maintenance clinics, cycle leisure rides and cycle training.

The project works with residents moving to new developments in South Gloucestershire to help people get to know their neighbourhood and explore using active, sustainable transport.

South Gloucestershire Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Tourism, Cllr Paul Hughes, said: “The ‘Around Your Way’ project is a fantastic initiative to encourage more people to start using more active and sustainable methods of transport. I encourage everyone to go along to the events – which run through the summer – as they promise to be great fun for all of the family.”

The funding is received from the Department of Transport under the ‘Access West Fund’, a three-year central government-funded scheme to promote sustainable transport in the West of England.
