The following explains what to do if you need help now, are in a mental health crisis or are supporting a child or young person who is experiencing a crisis.

Emergencies

If someone is in immediate danger, is hurt physically or has taken an overdose, call 999.

NHS 111

If you need advice and support about how to manage an urgent mental health problem call 111 and select the mental health option for advice.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAHMS)

If the situation is not an emergency but a child is experiencing an immediate mental health crisis then children, professionals, parents, or carers can call the CAMHS crisis line on 0800 953 9599.
