Kenneth’s biological father was a warehouseman in 1911 and Kenneth was number 7 of 9 children. He had 5 brothers and 3 sisters but 2 of his siblings died as children. He was adopted by an Aunt and Uncle
Kenneth served with the 10th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment, his Battalion fought in the Burma Campaign under the command of the Fourteenth Army. In January 1945 they crossed the Irrawaddy River and were involved in extremely fierce fighting. Kenneth was killed during this fighting but the battalion’s victory led to the final operation that broke the last Japanese resistance in Burma
