Leslie Albert Lambert was born in about 1900 in Tewkesbury. His parents were William and Gertrude Lambert and he had a sister called Greta. His father worked as secretary of a brewery company and he was born in Newtown in Bristol. In 1911 the family lived at Albert House in Wickwar
Leslie enlisted on 22nd April 1918 and joined the Grenadier Guards as a guardsman. He was discharged on 26th November 1918. He had T.B. and he died in April 1919 at the age of 19
He is buried at Bristol (Ridgeway Park) Cemetery
Leslie Albert Lambert is remembered on the Wickwar Holy Trinity Church Memorial, the Wickwar Village Hall Memorial and the Chipping Sodbury and District War Memorial Cottage Hospital board, which is now at Yate and District Heritage Centre, under Wickwar
