From 5-16 October schools across the region will be taking part in the schools challenge.
The event (which is the equivalent of the commuter challenge run with employers) encourages secondary age pupils to earn points by travelling to school in a way that reduces the number of cars on the road. For example, by walking, cycling, catching the bus or linking up with other pupils to travel in one car.
There are lots of prizes to be won and all secondary schools are welcome to take part.
