South Gloucestershire Council is sending congratulations to students, families and schools who are celebrating A-Level, T-Level and BTEC results today.
Students across South Gloucestershire have received their results today and will be celebrating with families and thinking about the next chapter of their lives. Their achievements are testament to the hard work and the commitment of learners and their schools and colleges, and the support offered by families and carers of young people during their school years.
Councillor Ian Boulton, South Gloucestershire Council Co-Leader and cabinet member with responsibility for schools, said: “I would like to send a huge well done to all the students across South Gloucestershire who are collecting their results today. Whatever grades you received, you should be proud of your achievements and hard work as you reach this gateway to the next, exciting chapter in your lives.
“I also send a big thanks to all the students’ families and carers for the support you will have undoubtedly provided, and to all of the teachers and schools and college staff who have worked tirelessly to help prepare these young people.
“Congratulations to those students who are celebrating achieving the results you were hoping for. Thanks to your hard work and determination you are now able to take the next steps in your life. Education opens up a world of opportunity and I hope you are excited by the options that are now available to you.
“For those who didn’t get the grades you had hoped for, or those who aren’t sure of what to do next, please take a little time to consider your options. It’s ok to feel overwhelmed or be unsure of what to do next. There is a host of information and support available, from your school, college and family to UCAS and other national helplines, that can provide everything you need to make the best decisions for your future.
“Whatever you choose and wherever life takes you, on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council, I send you the very best wishes.”
