Easter is almost here and there are plenty of free or low-cost family events across South Gloucestershire to enjoy.

  • Community Party at Kingsmeadow at MadeForever Community Hub, Kingswood on Wednesday 1 April from 4.30pm to 7.30pm
  • Easter poster trail at Yate Shopping Centre from 1 to 19 April, £2 entry, scan the QR code on the maps at Yate Library to enter
  • Easter trail and Victorian Easter card making at Kingswood Heritage Museum on 4 to 6 April from 11am to 5pm, activities are free, museum entry is £5 for adults, children go free
  • Chipping Sodbury Easter trail from 4 to 19 April. Pick up a map from Chipping Sodbury Tourist Information Centre.
  • Easter trail around Kingswood from 4 to 19 April, pick up a trail map from Lost in Reads, Kings Chase Shopping Centre
  • Hanham Easter Stones event on Saturday 4 April from 10.30am to midday, find two painted stones around Hanham and take them to Christ Church, Church Road, to claim an Easter prize
  • Kings Chase Shopping Centre Egg-stravaganza event on Saturday 4 April from 10.30am to 1pm
  • Free interactive Easter storytelling around Kingswood Park with crafts and refreshments, meet at Holy Trinity Church, Kingswood on Saturday 4 April at 3pm
  • Free Easter egg hunt at The Ridings, Chipping Sodbury, on Sunday 5 April at 1pm
  • Easter egg hunt at Southey Park, Kingswood, on Sunday 5 April from 10am to 2pm, 50p entry
  • Free Easter egg hunt and bonnet parade competition at Kingsgate Park, Yate on Monday 6 April from 10am to midday
  • Easter crafts and bouncy fun at The Park Centre, Kingswood, Wednesday 8 April from 1pm to 2.30pm, £5 for children, adults and under 1s go free
  • Easter biscuit decorating at Grimsbury Community Farm, Kingswood, Wednesday 8 April from 10am to 2pm, £6.50 per child
  • Family Easter party at YMCA, Station Road, Yate on Thursday 9 April from 1.30pm to 4.30pm
  • Bubble show at Kings Chase Shopping Centre, Kingswood, on Thursday 9 April at 10.30am and 2pm
  • Hanging bug crafting at Yate Shopping Centre on Thursday 9 April from 11am to 3pm
  • Easter party at Yate Shopping Centre on Tuesday 14 April from 11am to 3pm
  • Glow stick firefly bug making at Yate Shopping Centre on Thursday 16 April from 11am to 3pm
  • Spring family fun day at Willow Brook Shopping Centre, Bradley Stoke on Friday 17 April from 11am to 3pm.
