Page Park in South Gloucestershire has raised the prestigious Green Flag Award for the sixth year running after achieving the international quality mark for parks and green spaces.
The news that Page Park has achieved the accreditation is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team that care for the green space so that residents and visitors alike can enjoy it.
Councillor Sean Rhodes, cabinet member responsible for communities in South Gloucestershire said: “This is great news and I congratulate everyone involved in bringing Green Flag status to Page Park once again. The recognition has been earned following hard work from the council, the friends group, volunteers and the local community.
“Page Park is a much-loved green space that is enjoyed by all who visit and is something everyone in the area can be proud of.”
Keep Britain Tidy’s Green Flag Award Scheme Manager, Paul Todd MBE, said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved at Page Park on achieving a Green Flag Award.
“Page Park is a vital green space for communities in South Gloucestershire to socialise, enjoy nature, for children to play safely and it provides important opportunities for park users to improve their physical and mental health.

The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
