Mangotsfield - St James Place
The Grade II listed memorial (first listed on 16th April 2015 by Historic England) was made in the form of a Latin cross in Cornish granite on a tapering plinth set on an octagonal base with a bronze plaque on both the obverse and reverse; the cross was from a design by architect George Oatley from Clifton, Bristol. It is situated in the Alec Large Memorial Garden at the junction of Mangotsfield Road and Rodway Hill Road Mangotsfield. The memorial was unveiled and dedicated by the Bishop of Bristol, George Nickson, on Saturday, 25th October 1919.
