2025 marks 80 years since the end of World War II in Europe on 8 May 1945.
The 80th anniversary might be the last chance to thank surviving veterans, hear their experiences and reflect on those who were lost.
VE Day falls on Thursday 8 May. However, communities and organisations are encouraged to use the bank holiday on Monday 5 May to come together and enjoy ‘The Great British Food Festival’.
