Kingswood - Holy Trinity Church
A column situated a corner at the north west side of the churchyard near the entrance door. A war memorial in the form of a Bath stone pillar reminiscent of a medieval churchyard preaching cross showing a Christ figure which is derived from Romanesque and early Gothic depictions of fully robed Christ on the cross, showing his triumph over death. The saviour holds out his arms in reassuring welcome to those who gave their lives to the house of god. The inscription reads ”O saviour who didst die and rise again for all, remember these in thy mercy who did for us and grant them a joyful resurrection”
The names of the fallen are written on plaques on the churchyard wall beside the stone memorial.
