South Gloucestershire’s libraries have a fun-filled programme of festive activities for children and families this December. All activities are free and new faces are always very welcome (all children must bring a grown-up with them).

Individual event details:

Christmas capers
Make a reindeer antler hat, paper plate bunting for the library and a snowy scene. Most suitable for primary school age children.

Christmas crafts
Write a letter to Father Christmas and make crafts including Santa masks and tree decorations. Most suitable for children aged 3 to 10.

Christmas Lego™ clubs
Creative Christmas themed fun. Listen to stories and poems, then make a model to display at the library. Lego™ Clubs are for primary school aged children.

Christmas Rhymetimes and story times for 0-4 year olds
Our activities for little ones continue up to Christmas with special festive themed rhyme and story sessions. Most suitable for 0 to 4-year-olds.

Explore Learning writing workshops
Choose from these two great workshops for 5 to 7-year-olds: ‘My Night before Christmas’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’. Contact your library to book a place or call 01454 626764.

Festive fun
Christmas crafts and cheer. Create your own snowman calendar, reindeer antlers, cards and more. Most suitable for children aged 3 to 10.

Stories around the tree
Come and join us around the Christmas tree for seasonal stories.

Covid-19 Get Tested - community surge testing available - A mutation of the Covid-19 UK variant is present in parts of Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Everyone aged 16 or over without symptoms in eligible postcodes should get tested to help suppress this variant, and help protect their loved ones.
