New eDocs have been created to guide parents through the schools admissions process for 2016/17.
Separate documents are available for both primary and secondary schools, featuring information to help parents and pupils choose their preferred school.
Each document covers the full application process, from how and where to apply, through the allocation process, to what should happen once the child has been offered a school place.

Applications for places at primary schools for 2016/17 should be completed between Monday 7 September and Friday 15 January 2016.
Secondary schools eDoc https://edocs.southglos.gov.uk/secondaryadmission
Applications for places at secondary schools for 2016/17 should be completed between Monday 7 September and Saturday 31 October 2015.
Due to the timescales for issuing postal notification, customers that apply online are likely to receive notification of their school place earlier than those that have applied in writing. On notification day customers can log into their account online, whereas customers who have applied in writing will have to wait to receive their notifications by first class mail.
